I start my pieces with a pencil sketch. Next I lay in washes of color. The final layer is built up with colored pencils. Ink from brushes and technical pens make up the blacks of the night sky and the birds.
The act of turning imagination into images allows fish to fly and houses to walk. My pictures blur the distinctions between dreams and our daily waking life. People, birds, cats, and dogs take time to meditate under the moon and stars.
