About Moondance…

These dancers reflect the serenity and sensuality of a warm summer evening.  This is a night where it is possible to catch the moon in a bowl. The women dance among stars and  fish flying through the sky.

This is picture was done on Clayboard. The hair, fish scales, stars, and the shading are scratched into the board. Acrylic washes are layed in first.  Next colored pencils are drawn on the surface.  The night sky is brushed in with black ink.  A technical pen is used to for black textures and shadows.

This is a giclee (“zhee-clay”) print. First the original art work is scanned digitally at high resolution. This image is printed with archival inks on high quality cotton rag paper. This process results in a long lasting print with high definition and rich, accurate colors.  This matted print will fit a standard 11″ by 14″ frame.

I hope you enjoy this piece!
